At Wind River Middle School in the Stevenson-Carson School District, 7th grade STEM students recently designed and built their own rockets. To ensure safe launches, students drafted detailed flight paths, mapping out nearby trees, powerlines, and buildings to create comprehensive safety plans.
Stevenson-Carson School District
The Stevenson-Carson School District is a K-12 district located in the Columbia River Gorge serving the towns of Stevenson, North Bonneville, Carson, Stabler and Home Valley. The district serves approximately 650 students across its three schools: Carson Elementary, Wind River Middle School, and Stevenson High School, with a goal of creating a school experience where every learner is supported.
